The CTA will be providing free shuttles from the Garfield Red and Green Line stations to Midway Plaisance Park between 8:30am and 11:30am, with return service between 1:00pm ad 3:00pm.
The Metra Electric Line runs right past the Obama Presidential Center and offers fast, frequent service from downtown (Millennium, Van Buren St. and 11th St./Museum Campus and from the South Side and south suburbs, especially with a new schedule that takes effect June 15. Three stations serve the area: 55th- 56th-57th St., 59th St./University of Chicago, and 63rd St. The 59th St. Station is closest to the center but is not ADA-accessible. ADA customers are advised to use the 55th- 56th-57th St. Station, the closest accessible stop. Purchase a One-Way Ticket ($3.75 from downtown) or Day Pass ($7.50 to and from downtown) from ticket vending machines or via the Ventra app.
